**TraditionAmbition...what? **

What is TraditionAmbition all about?
There so much beautiful pieces of traditional art throughout dA, but it seems to remain unnoticed (excluding anime) & lost amidst doodles etc. With the idea taken from *PhotoLust i've decided to start an account which works in pretty much the same way, but only includes images from the traditional art section.

This is NOT a club, so you can't join, but do show your interested by watching & putting your suggestions forward.

Yes, by adding TraditionAmbition to your devWATCH & making sure to tick the journals box you will be notified regularly of the recent updates & many features.

How Can I Get Involved?
The main 2 ways to get involved are as follows: 1) Suggest artists & images to be featured here! & 2) Give TraditionAmbition some help by telling other deviants about it in your journal (by displaying the avatar, a link or even a stamp _{(coming soon)}).

How Often Will You Update?
Similar to *PhotoLust i'd hope to update every fews days, but at present i'm desperately needing plenty of your suggestions to be sure of things to feature & i'm not going to submit another journal without suggested featured. I've done this once to give people a good idea of what happens here.

What's The Gallery For?
The gallery will be used for submitting tutorials. So if you have a tutorial on traditional art you would like to share just send it in a note entitled 'Submit'. Comments will be disabled & links provided to your original tutorial. Before submitting please state somewhere in artist's comments that *TraditionAmbition have permission to submit that tutorial.

Hang About......This Is Just A Rip-Off of *PhotoLust...Traditional Art Style!?
That's the basic jist of it, only 'rip-off' might be a bit harsh lol. Only I have asked lady-`RockstarVanity herself & she liked the idea lol...

What If I Notice You Featured An Image That The Said Deviant Shouldn't Have Credit For?
Whilst all descriptions will be checked before posting there's no way I can tell if a piece of art is not the person's who's claiming it. If you see something like this in one of the journals, please note me, explain which it is & i'll deal with it. Please, be polite about this, i'd never do it purposely.




**What Are All The Journal Feature Sections? **

TraditionAmbition's Choice Artist
This is a section where an artist (often a more established one) will be chosen for a feature. 6 images will be displayed from that person's gallery in order to inspire others.

TraditionAmbition's Unknown Artist
Here, an unknown artist (less than 10,000 pageviews) will be selected to have a feature. 6 images of their gallery work will be displayed in order to bring them more exposure.

Your Selected Unknown Artist
This section, an unknown artist (less than 10,000 pageviews) selected by you will have 6 images of their gallery featured in order to bring them more exposure.

TraditionAmbition's Recent Submits
6 images from 'Browse Todays Submissions' will be chosen by me to be featured here.

Your Selected Choice Images
This is a section for the images that you love & have suggested for a feature. These can be by artists of any status on dA.

TraditionAmbition's Gallery Focus
Here will be a selection of 6 images from a certain traditional art gallery. The deviations are chosen due to which ones catch my attention (by newest, not most popular). Again these can be by artists of any status on dA.




** Suggesting Artist & Images For Features **

Please do this by sending a note to *TraditionAmbition, & by using one of the following subjects.

Suggest Unknown Artist
or
Suggest Choice Image

PLEASE be sure to send seperate notes for each unknown artists & each choice image you send.

The reason i ask this is because notes are kept in folders & once the suggestions have been used, the notes are deleted. Any notes suggesting more than one will have the 1st suggestion used & then the note deleted.

Feel free to suggest as many artists or as many images as you like. There's no limit. I'm always going to be looking for suggestions to feature, so if you don't send me them i won't have anything to put in that section.

Finally for this part, i ask of you to please not to suggest any anime images or anime artists for features. I'm aware that's traditional art too, & i've nothing personal against it, there's just alot of clubs on dA that specify in that sort of thing. Thank You.

Who Chooses The 'TraditionAmbition'?
This will be me _(=byrnfri), but don't worry i have a varied taste

Can I Choose Some Artists / Images for Features?
Of course! All the more the better. See above for details.

I Have Been Featured, But I Don't Want My Images In The Journal. What Can I Do?
A comment will be left on the userpage of anyone who's image (or images) are featured here, so if you'd rather not be featured don't hesitate in sending a note about it & your work will be removed.

Can I Find Links To Past Features Anywhere?
As of yet the answer is no, aside from actually clicking through the journal links. However i'll probably sort this at the end of the month.
